This page explains how to reserve books from the library. For more information about the types of books you can borrow, please visit our book resources page.
You can place a hold on books yourself through the library catalogue. You’ll need your library ID and password. Follow the steps below or watch our short animation to learn how.
Go to the library catalogue (link above).
Search for the book or topic you want using keywords, title, author, etc. You can also filter results by library location.
From the search results, click on the book you want, then select Place Hold. Unless otherwise stated, you can reserve books from other libraries too.
Log in with your library ID and password.
Choose the library where you want to pick up the book. You can leave the date box blank if you wish. Click Confirm to complete the reservation.
You will receive an email when your book is ready for collection. Delivery times depend on whether the book is currently on loan to another user.
